Welcome to the blog!

Hi everyone,

Consider this the intro to our campaign blog and, hopefully in time, our ward councillors blog. I'll leave the maiden blog post to one of our Greenlands candidates, Steve Houghton.

We know that lots of residents have other things to do and aren't always interested in the mundane goings on of their ward, area and town altogether, so we'll try to keep away from the detailed aspects of budgets, council mechanics and internal politics. This blog is a two-way conversation, though, so we do want to know about the many things going on in your lives that concern you and have a discussion about them! Like many residents, we believe a local agenda is everybody's interest and not something that should be 'left to the Council'.

When you have a problem, we think it should be shared; when you have an idea, we think it should be heard and when you want to take action, we think it should be encouraged.
